We have championed the resurgence of indigenous species, and at the same time, tried to make South African gardeners more water-wise.

Given how many species are found naturally in South Africa, there is nothing restrictive about largely confining ourselves to native plants. The results are beautiful and empathetic.

The world is our seed tray and our potting shed, as we scour the globe for new flowers and varietals.

Over the years, we’ve built up a wonderful international network of plant breeders, which means that South African gardeners often have access to exciting new hybrids before anyone else.

Specialist Services

These days, gardening is big business and not everyone is in it for the right reasons. Through our work in professional licensing and marketing we help promote genuine plant breeders.

We also endeavour to protect them by managing royalties, breeders’ rights and trade mark applications so they can continue to grow.

Advocacy

We can all think of gardens in our neighbourhoods that could use a little TLC. Keith’s infectious love of gardening gets people away from the TV and outside, tools in hand.

Although he never would, he could claim credit for much of the recent gardening renaissance in South Africa.
